Registration for GO Lab Better Commissioning Symposiums now open

The GO Lab is pleased to announce that registration for the Better Commissioning Symposiums (17 & 24 May) is now open.

The purpose of the Symposiums is to consider the opportunities for innovative commissioning for healthier lives and older people’s services by exploring new forms and existing commissioning practice. The events will consist of guest speaker-led debates and workshop sessions and aim to bring together senior commissioners from social care or healthcare, along with experts from academic, commissioning and service delivery perspectives to openly examine the pros and cons of outcome commissioning.

The timing of the Symposiums is intended to help commissioners make informed choices about applying to the Life Chances Fund (LCF), a government fund managed by Big Lottery, that seeks to develop better outcomes commissioning in six distinct policy areas. It is expected that the call-out for Expressions of Interest for the LCF thematics of Healthy Lives and Older People’s Services will be in June 2017.

There is no charge to attend the events, though priority will be granted to senior commissioners. To register your interest and find out more information including confirmed guest speakers, please visit the event pages listed below:
