The GO Lab is not accepting internship applications for 2021. We hope to resume our internship scheme in the future.  

The GO Lab offers paid internship placements to students and recent graduates within and outside the University, at undergraduate, Masters and Doctorate level. Most internships are offered over the summer (June-September) but there is flexibility. Candidates must have the right to work in the UK.

We would like to hear from you if you:

  • are intrigued by the GO Lab's work looking at how local and national governments worldwide work with the private and voluntary sectors to secure better social outcomes for citizens;
  • can demonstrate your interest through your academic background, or voluntary or work experience;
  • are curious and open-minded; 
  • are prepared to work independently but collaboratively, intensively but flexibly, and have fun, in a small, dynamic team;
  • can bring skills, backgrounds or perspectives that complement the existing team.

We usually only accept interns who apply to specific, advertised projects. However, occasionally we consider general applications from exceptional candidates where there is a clear alignment with our work.
