Andrea works for the Strategic Investment Board in Northern Ireland where she leads on the social value approach for IT contracts across central government and its arms-length bodies. This consists of working collaboratively with public sector buyers to embed social value throughout the contract lifecycle, evaluate social value responses from bidders and advise contract managers post award.
Andrea is currently involved in implementing a new policy note which will mandate the scoring of social value on public sector tenders and involves implementing an extensive training programme for public sector commissioners, procurement teams, contract managers and suppliers.
Prior to her role with the Strategic Investment Board, Andrea worked within public sector bidding for over 8 years developing bid solutions for a variety of professional services and facilities management contracts, and advising on bid strategies, training and governance processes. Andrea is also a qualified barrister in Northern Ireland and a Board member for a social enterprise.
