About Fernando

Fernando is a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Government Outcomes Lab. His research interests lie in the fields of public administration and strategic management, focusing on how different organizational arrangements and public-private interactions can reconcile financial and social goals.

Fernando's doctoral studies relied on close touch with the organizations involved, experiencing their daily routines. By obtaining unique and rare data at the organisation level, he focuses on empirical analyses attempting to assess causal linkages through robust econometric methods.

Before joining Oxford, he earned a PhD in Business Economics from Insper, São Paulo, (2021) and a BA in Economics from the University of São Paulo (2015).
