About Jessica

Jessica works as a Policy Engagement and Communications Associate at the GO Lab.

She leads on the GO Lab's engagement with Government and with the Life Chances Fund. In addition to this, Jess is Head of the GO Lab's annual Social Outcomes Conference, Head of the Blavatnik School of Government's Policy Engagement Network, and oversees the Engaging with Evidence series.

Prior to joining GO Lab, Jessica worked as Deputy Head of the Church of England’s Parliamentary Unit. In this role she supported the 26 Bishops and Archbishops as Peers in the House of Lords, Andrew Selous MP as Second Church Estates Commissioner in the Commons, a team of parliamentary researchers and policy advisors, and more broadly supported the Church of England’s political engagement. She has previously worked as a Parliamentary Researcher and Advisor where her work covered policy areas such as: Immigration, Welfare, Children’s Issues, Education, and areas of Eastern and Southern Africa. Jessica has co-authored two papers that have subsequently been used in UK Parliament.

Alongside her work in Parliament, Jessica also has experience in grassroots politics, having worked as a Community Organiser in East London. Other experience includes in the Charity Sector and Financial Sector in New Zealand and Luxembourg respectively. Jessica holds a B.A. in International Relations from Durham University.
