Mick Yang is an Intern at the GO Lab for Summer of 2019. He is an undergraduate law student at the University of Oxford where he earned the Brackenbury Exhibition. Before that, he studied liberal arts at Yale-NUS College with the benefit of two scholarships.
Mick's work experience spans top global law firms as well as start-ups like Mitt Prosthetics and Oxplore. He has also done research work for Professors, including Louise Gullifer (Oxford University) and Rohan Mukherjee (Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy), and volunteered with an anti-human trafficking organisation and a citizens advice clinic in Singapore.
As a student, he is President of the University’s LGBTQ+ Society and has spoken at Bloomberg about transgender experiences and allyship. Mick cares about social justice, policy, and thoughtful design. He spends his free time solo-dancing and diving through internet flotsam
