Dr Susan de Witt is an Innovative Finance Senior Advisor at the Bertha Centre for Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the Graduate School of Business in Cape Town. She has been working with national and local government for the last 4 years on Impact Bonds and outcomes funds. This work has resulted in contracts in early childhood development, job creation, workforce development and health. She also heads up the secretariat for the South African National Advisory Board for Impact Investing affiliated to the Global Steering Group. Prior to this she worked with the Social Investment and Finance Team in the UK Cabinet Office.
She has worked as a veterinary surgeon in both the public and private sector, in South Africa and abroad and holds an MBA from the UCT Graduate School of Business and a BVSc from the University of Pretoria.
