Dr. Hilary Olson earned her PhD in Public Policy and Management from the Price School of Public Policy at the University of Southern California. Using both quantitative and qualitative methodologies, her work focuses on bridging theory and practice to tackle complex global challenges.

As a research assistant at the Price Center for Social Innovation, Hilary contributed to several projects analyzing Social Impact Bonds and Emergency Aid funds. Her dissertation, entitled Outcomes-Based Contracting through Impact Bonds: Ties to Social Innovation, Systems Change, and International Development' examined the use of social outcome contracts in a variety of contexts, including low- and middle-income countries.

Specializing in social innovation and program evaluation, her research is driven by a passion for international development, social finance, collaborative governance, co-production, and systems change.
