Silvana Fumega

Project Director, Global Data Barometer

Silvana Fumega is the the Global Data Barometer Project Director as well as the Research and Policy Director of ILDA. She holds a PhD from University of Tasmania, Australia. She also holds a Master’s degree in Public Policy from Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand and a degree in Political Science from the University of Buenos Aires (Argentina). She has served as a consultant for several international organisations, governments and civil society groups. In the past few years she has focused her work on the intersection of data and inclusion.

Carolina Pedrosa Gomes de Melo

Postdoctoral researcher, Insper Metricis

Carolina holds a PhD in Business Economics from Insper, a Master of Public Administration in Development Practice from Columbia University, and a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of North Florida. She has worked on the impact evaluation of several social programs as research director at MGov Brazil (currently, Movva), as a consultant, as a research assistant in the Millennium Villages Project M&E Team at the Earth Institute/Columbia University, and as a graduate intern in the United Nations Renewed Efforts against Child Hunger and Undernutrition (UN REACH) initiative in Maputo, Mozambique. Her research interests include early childhood development, health economics, economics of education, sustainable development, and industrial organisation.
