Priscilla Boiardi

Policy Analyst, Private Finance for Sustainable Development, OECD

Priscilla Boiardi is leading the work on impact in the Private Finance for Sustainable Development team at the OECD. Priscilla is working on a wide range of initiatives, in particular policies and standards that governments can adopt to maximise the impact of their investments made in sustainable development. Priscilla sits on a number of EC project selection committees, on the Methodology Committee of Social Value International (SVI) and on the Advisory Board of the Social Impact Agenda for Italy (SIA). Before joining the OECD, Priscilla was Research and Policy Director at EVPA (the European association of venture philanthropists and impact investors), leading the research, policy, training and dissemination activities, supported by the European Commission. Priscilla has over 15 years of research experience, first as a Research Associate at the Vlerick Business School and then as a PhD candidate at the Catholic University of Leuven.

Kat Deeney

Head of Environmental Planning, Plymouth City Council

Kat has worked within the environment field for over 18 years.

Currently her portfolio includes strategic leadership for environmental planning, green and blue space enhancement and responding to the climate emergency within Plymouth City Council. This includes, transformation of the Council’s Green Estate, including nature based solution delivery, solar farm development and activating spaces for people. Development of the UK’s first National Marine Park, delivery of a new Community Forest and the development of innovative environmental funding models.

In all work there is a fundamental focus on how people and nature can work together to achieve benefits for all.

Project Manager, Bertha Centre (University of Cape Town)

Jason is a Project Manager for research and training in the Bertha Centre's Innovative Finance initiative located at the University of Cape Town. Jason is responsible for coordinating teaching and research support for learning programmes in impact investing and innovative finance and driving research efforts in the Centre’s Green finance, Early-stage funding, and Blended finance work. He completed his BCom Honours (Information Systems) and Doctorate (Management) degrees at the University of the Witwatersrand, where he also did a postdoctoral research fellowship and lectured Management and Innovation courses.
