Cooper is a Director at Social Finance with over 15 years of senior leadership experience in impact-focused organisations. He has led strategic and technical initiatives to advance innovative finance solutions that strengthen transparency, accountability, and effectiveness in development finance. He currently oversees Social Finance’s People & Planet strategy, driving approaches that support socially-centred climate action.
Previously, Cooper was Director of Conservation Finance & Enterprise at Fauna & Flora, where he led efforts to mobilise innovative finance across the organisation’s global conservation portfolio.
He has served as a non-executive director at Wefarm, a social enterprise expanding smallholder farmers’ access to information and markets in East Africa, and has advised UK- and US-based charities on developing sustainable earned-income models. Earlier in his career, Cooper worked in programme development for a US-based refugee resettlement organisation. He holds an MBA from the University of Cambridge and an MA from Harvard University.
