GO Lab Fellows of Practice

The GO Lab is today launching recruitment for its Fellows of Practice network. 

Through the Blavatnik School’s Fellows of Practice programme, the GO Lab is seeking to engage with a diverse range of Fellows of Practice to support in the development of the Lab. Fellows come from a wide range of actors in the world of policy making and policy engagement who are keen to work with the GO Lab and share their knowledge and experience to support our mission to develop world leading research into outcomes-based commissioning (OBC), support local commissioners, and engage practitioners and academics alike to raise awareness and understanding of OBC.

Fellows will bring in experience, honed in the public, private, and/or not-for-profit sectors, and might contribute to the work of the GO Lab through a broad range of activities, such as lecturing and teaching, producing case studies and policy briefs, undertaking research and contributing to working papers, supporting local commissioners, and providing mentorship to GO Lab Associates.

We are seeking applications from interested practitioners to initially support us with:

1. Executive Education: The GO Lab will be designing new training programmes to support local commissioners considering taking an outcomes approach to commissioners. We are looking for practitioners interested in supporting with the design, implementation and teaching for this new programme.
2. Building the Knowledge Base: The GO Lab will be building an online data hub for those interested in OBC. This will include the creation of a Case Study and Policy Brief repository. We are interested in engaging with practitioners who are keen to contribute to the growing of the knowledge base, either through the creation of case studies and policy briefs, or the undertaking of short, practice-focused research projects.
3. Commissioner Support: The GO Lab will be working directly with local commissioners across the UK to help them identify their most pressing issues and support them in exploring new ways of commissioning. We are keen to engage with practitioners who are interested in supporting local commissioners in developing their knowledge and understanding of OBC

Fellows are appointed by the School’s Management Team for a period of time, between a term or up to a year, and commit to engage in specific areas of the life and work of the School either by spending extended periods of time in the School or through regular visits. We appreciate our Fellows have many demands on their time and will work with them to design a programme of engagement that fits their expertise without compromising any existing commitments or professional duties.
