We are delighted to announce that Jo Blundell will join the GO Lab as its interim Deputy Director from the beginning of November 2016.
Jo is the founder of Future Public, a consultancy which works with social sector organisations to re-design public services and maximise social impact. She is the first a series of new appointments to the GO Lab team who will take up the work initiated by staff at the Blavatnik School of Government and the Government’s Inclusive Economy Unit. She’ll be assisting with the strategic development of the centre, overseeing the practitioner programme and building relationships with a number of organisations, supporting the GO Lab to carry out effective and relevant research into outcome-based commissioning.
“I’m thrilled to have our first new member of the GO Lab in post,” said Professor Ngaire Woods, Dean of the Blavatnik School of Government. “Governments everywhere will benefit from the research, data and training that will help them to focus on outcomes, and to work better with the private and not-for-profit sectors - I am excited to watch the centre grow.”
Recruitment is currently underway for the Director of the GO Lab, Research and Policy Officer, and Fellows of Practice programme. Jo will also be joined in November by a GO Lab Associate who will support the team’s practitioner programme, develop materials and oversee workshops, as well as by a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in January 2017.
