The review team are developing an approach to communicate the methodological soundness of papers available through the heatmap. The prototype field for ‘research quality appraisal’ aims to convey the extent to which a study offers a clearly described methodology, as well as to assess its execution based on the information provided. A qualitative process study is evaluated against expected quality criteria for a qualitative study design while a randomised controlled trial is assessed against criteria for such experimental studies. We use the critical appraisal tools available through CASP and then distil our responses to a three-part structure.
The heatmap shows data on articles and research papers about social outcomes contracts in the field of education. According to your preferences of study design, quality appraisal and other variables, you can pick a particular cell from the heatmap and click on it. After scrolling down, you will see a list of articles matching that selection criteria.
