This report sets out the evaluation strategy for the Life Chances Fund (LCF). It was published and created by the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport and the Government Outcomes Lab.
This evaluation strategy includes the three strands which are:
- Strand 1 - Fund-level programme evaluation - this seeks to evaluate the LCF as an instrument for growing the SIB market
- Strand 2 - SIB mechanism evaluation - this seeks to evaluate SIBs as a commissioning tool
- Strand 3 - SIB project-led evaluations - the scope of these evaluations will be set by LCF applicants themselves. The research is likely to evaluate innovative interventions and/or specific aspects of the SIB model to inform local knowledge.
