Ways to Wellness Social Impact bond was the UK's first health SIB. This is a deep dive report produced as part of the Commissioning Better Outcomes Fund Evaluation.
This SIB aims to improve outcomes for 8,500 patients with Long-Term Conditions (LTCs) over its first 6 years. Newcastle Gateshead CCG will pay up to £8.2m to the service providers based on the achievement of two outcomes: improved self-management of LTC and reduced costs of secondary healthcare services.
