We are thrilled to announce the distinguished cohort for the 2024 Government Outcomes Lab Visiting Fellows of Practice - a leading group of practitioners from public, voluntary, and private sectors.

Annually, at the Government Outcomes Lab, we appoint a small group of leading practitioners spanning the public, private, and voluntary sectors to champion our mission of advancing research and practice in how governments tackle complex social challenges. These Visiting Fellows bring a wealth of practical insights and profound expertise from diverse fields, ensuring that our work remains responsive and pertinent to those implementing outcomes-focused partnerships for better social outcomes.

The position of Fellow of Practice is undertaken on a pro-bono basis, and our Visiting Fellows contribute to our work in a myriad of ways. Their involvement ranges from providing valuable input into our research and analytical work, speaking at our events, authoring and reviewing papers, to sharing learnings and insights to strengthen the global community of practitioners in the field.

"We are delighted and truly honored to bring together such an exceptional group of experts committed to public service and achieving better social outcomes. Our Fellows are instrumental in not only bridging the gap between research and practice but also in ensuring that our work remains responsive and attuned to the diverse challenges faced by governments worldwide."

Dr Mara Airoldi, Academic Director of Government Outcomes Lab

This year, we will be joined by eleven Visiting Fellows of Practice from diverse backgrounds, with expertise spanning across sectors and countries. They include economists, lawyers, and international development leaders pioneering innovative financing tools in low- and middle-income countries, experts championing evidence-based approaches and driving collaboration for governance and institutional change, and practitioners with decades of experience in improving public services.

As a group, they draw together a wealth of experience and knowledge. From fostering innovation and cross-sector partnerships in addressing critical policy and development challenges to rethinking current practices of accountability, transparency, and control mechanisms within outcomes-based contracts, these individuals are working at local, national, and international levels to find innovative solutions to some of the most complex social problems and drive positive change in society.
